This Privacy Policy explains how AGUNA ("AGUNA", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the AGUNA mobile app and the website at aguna.app. AGUNA is operated by AGUNA Wellness Ltd, a company registered in the Federal Republic of Nigeria (RC 9590421).

Information we collect

When you use the AGUNA app:

• Account details — when you sign in with Apple, we receive your name and email. Apple lets you hide your email, in which case we receive a private relay address instead.
• Region — your country, used to choose your meal plan and, in future, your pricing.
• Health & activity data — with your permission, AGUNA reads steps, weight, sleep, and height from Apple Health to show your activity, calculate progress and BMI, and award AGUNA Premium credit.
• Profile & progress — an optional profile photo, your workout and meal activity, streaks, and your Premium credit balance.
• Reminder preferences — the notification settings you choose, used to schedule reminders on your device.
• Subscription & purchase data — if you take out a paid membership, we and our providers process your subscription status, plan, and purchase history. Apple handles the payment itself; we never receive or store your card details.

On the aguna.app website:

• Usage analytics — basic, aggregated visit data via Google Analytics to understand how the site is used.

Apple Health data

AGUNA only reads health data from Apple Health — it never writes to it. We use this data solely to operate features you can see in the app (your activity, progress, BMI, and Premium credit). We do not use Apple Health data for advertising or marketing, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with third parties except our cloud provider (Google Firebase) for the sole purpose of running the app for you. You can turn this access off at any time in the iOS Settings app under Privacy & Security → Health.

How we use your information

• To provide and personalize your workouts, meals, tracking, and reminders.
• To calculate and display your AGUNA Premium credit.
• To manage your AGUNA membership (subscription) and the features it unlocks.
• To respond to support requests and improve the app and site.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run AGUNA, under their own privacy terms:

• Apple — Sign in with Apple, Apple Health, and subscription payments through the App Store.
• Google Firebase — secure storage of your account and app data (Cloud Firestore and Authentication).
• RevenueCat — manages your membership status and access. It receives an app user identifier and your purchase/subscription information; it does not receive your Apple Health data.
• Google Analytics — website usage measurement (website only).

We may also disclose information if required by law.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your AGUNA account and all associated data at any time from Profile → Delete Account in the app. Deleting your account removes your stored data and revokes the app's access to your Apple ID.

Security

Your data is stored on Google Firebase infrastructure and protected by access rules and encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Children

AGUNA is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.

Your rights

You can access, correct, or delete your data, and withdraw permissions (such as Apple Health access) at any time. To make a request, contact us using the details below.

Changes

We may update this policy as AGUNA evolves. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above, and significant changes will be communicated in the app or on this page.
